Six Generations of Service, One Family Tradition
In 1905, OD Parker picked up his tools and started a plumbing business in Lake County with a straightforward philosophy: do quality work, charge fair prices, and treat every customer like a neighbor. It was a simpler time, but that approach to business has never gone out of style.
OD taught his son, Arthur James Parker, everything he knew about the trade—not just how to fix a leaking pipe or install a boiler, but how to treat people with respect and honesty. Arthur James, who the company is named after, carried those lessons forward and passed them to his own children.
Now, six generations later, the Parker family is still in the same business, still serving the same Lake County communities, and still following the same principles OD started with over 120 years ago. That’s unusual in today’s world. Most plumbing and heating companies don’t make it past a single generation, let alone six. We’ve outlasted countless competitors, weathered economic downturns, adapted to new technologies, and watched the communities we serve grow and change.
Through it all, what hasn’t changed is our commitment to taking care of our neighbors the right way.

We know these communities because we’re part of them. We live here, raise our families here, and plan to be serving this area for the next 120 years.
